| Chief Petty Officer David Goldsberry is the senior non-commissioned officer for HMS Medusa. He signed on to Medusa in January of 2016 as a Coxswain in the Astrogation department and was promoted to Bosun in February of that year. He quickly joined the Bureau of Training as the instructor of the Flight Operations School for Saganami Island Academy. In January of 2018, he added yet another responsibility, volunteering to serve as the Command Senior Master Chief of BuTrain. He is trying to make his mark in the Navy by completing all of the exams offered by BuTrain. He is currently at over 200 exams. |
| Bosun Goldsberry enjoys participating in a number of other fan-based organizations, including STARFLEET International where he serves as Commanding Officer of the Northern California chapter, USS Gygax, as well as a College Director for STARFLEET Academy; Rebel Legion where he served for five years as Temple Master for Skywalker Temple in Endor Base (Northern California); and Stormtrooper Ranch, a Star Wars costuming organization based in Shasta and Siskiyou counties of Northern California. |
| Sir David dedicates a great deal of his free time volunteering to the Boy Scouts of America. He has held multiple positions and currently works at the local level as an Assistant Scoutmaster and at the district level as District Chair, which makes him leader over all of Scouting in the Northern Rivers District, covering 3 counties. His mother is proud to tell everyone she sees, that in 2016 he was honored with the Silver Beaver award for his volunteer work. |

Royal Unit Citation for Gallantry From March 2020 through September 2021, the entire staff of the Bureau of Training provided consistently outstanding service to the membership of The Royal Manticoran Navy (TRMN) during very trying times without hardly a misstep. They continued to work to support the membership during the Covid-19 global pandemic, helping members to have very important social connections outside their homes and family. During this period of time, staff graded approximately 750 courses. Staff also continued to work to improve BuTrain overall – over 250 courses were drafted and reviewed and either issued or are in finalization, providing more educational opportunities for the membership. by the order of Laura Lochen, KSK, KDR, KDE, MC, SC Fleet Admiral of the Red, RMN First Space Lord Duchess Split Rock. |
